User Experience Profiling
As mentioned in the UX analysis section, the chances are you’re not making your system for just one person, so at some point you’re going to need to create a user-profile that states a set of criteria for a standard (whatever that might be) user of your system. This will help you better understand how they will interact and react with the final release.
The information in a user-profile is usually obtained through both indirect means, observation and study of the users, and direct means, such as a questionnaire given to the users.
The sort of information contained might detail how much experience users have with computing in general, or a particular piece of software, what type of physical limitations they might have, how frequently they perform common tasks, or what education or reading level they might have, what age they are, what tasks they do most, what tasks they might want to do not associated with a particular role.
The contents of the profile are influenced by what they need to be doing with the system and details the most probable way they will do it.
